122 Arrests in Bihar- Communal clashes

Patna: Aurangabad Police nabbed 122 people involved with the recent communal clashes in Aurangabad where a Hindutva Mob allegedly pelted stones at a Mosque in Samastipur District.

JD(U) general Secretary KC Tyagi sent a message to ruling party BJP of the consequences of these anti-social elements carried out by NDA allies.More than 500 people have been accused in three FIR’s reported on the communal violence that broke out on Tuesday in Rosera. Aurangabad DM Ranjan Mahiwal said so far the Police has nabbed 122 people related to the violence.

Rosera Police SHO said 10 cops including ASP and DSP were also injured in the violence that broke out in Rosera. The area was strictly monitored added the officer.

DM Mahiwal added, “the accused in the violence are being arrested with the help of CCTV footage.”

Speaking of the situation in the area said: “The situation is well under control now,” adding internet services have been closed down in the area to prevent the spread of communal hate mongering.

According to the sources, tensions broke out on Tuesday morning a day after a pair of slippers accidentally fell down from the rooftop of a house when the idol immersion procession was near the mosque in Rosera. The Hindutva mob sprung into action the very next day and attacked the mosque pelting stones at it as a retaliatory action

Darbhanga zonal IG Pankaj Darad, confirmed the same, TOI reports.

Union Minister Ashwini Choubey in his statement on FIR against his son Arijit Shahswant for allegedly inciting the communal clashes called it as “a piece of garbage.”

Meanwhile, Tyagi reacting to Union Minster Choubey’s comment said: “Choubey holds a constitutional post and is aware of the laws of the land. If the police have lodged an FIR against his son after It initial probe, he should either surrender or approach the judiciary to defend himself. is certainly not a responsible act to call the FIR a piece of garbage.”
